Description

Riverside launch/landing on river left. Small sandy beach with steps. If landing at Chester-le-street, it's a private landing so would need permission from the rowing club or cadets (or just go when it won't have anyone there at all).

Parking Information

Payable parking by card at exit in the private mobile home park right next to the ruined priory. Was £4 all day, can check by contacting mobile home site. Owners very friendly and helpful.

If landing here keep well river left in the rapid under footbridge so as not to miss the landing. Easy launch for continuing downstream to Chester le Street.
